Consider the actual facts and realities of the Book of Mormon. It was a generative work spoken stream-of-consciousness style by Joseph Smith using some kind of stimulant/intoxicant like alcohol or perhaps an entheogenic substance, putting a stone into a hat and enclosing it so its just darkness and then he said words started to appear and he would read them and a scribe would write it down and this process happened in the form of a creative burst in just a matter of weeks/months from start to finish the book of mormon appears as an emergent phenemona of someone who possesses obviously high degrees of mental, cerebral, verbal, abstract, intuitive, conceptual, imaginative, creative, and intellectual intensity and power - its a tangible work that can be studies, analyzed, tested, read, and experienced by both human beings and computers in real time. It's a text that makes some very curious claims as it contains a multitude of authors, spanning thousands of years, describing the rise and fall of more than one great civilization, is structured cohesively by several different "books" acting as an abridgment of the historical and spiritual events of Ancient Americans who inhabited the north american continent beginning around 600 bc migrating from Jerusalem. The narrative has narratives within narratives and yet, remain connected and congruent in how it flows and maintains a coherent and organized expression which also integrates significant levels of complexity in it's distinctive elements where there's a depth of insight where genuinely profound philosophical insights (Such as the words of Lehi in 2 Ne), doctrinal insights, characters and voices of the individual authors who demonstrate unique language patterns, who describe the surrounding society and community of their time such describing the city infrastructure, the community structure and the peoples names, the government and political climate, provides a longitudinal account of two main civilizations (nephites and lamanites) and their histories of conflict, war, reconciliations, peace, prosperity, and the socioeconomic issues that caused social crises based on social status and wealth and position/power, describes political corruption and also flourishing times based on the people's alignment with divine law and keeping the commandments while seeking justice, equity, peace, and systems of law that are determined by the voice of the people while describing the conditions for what leads to the corruption of systems - religious systems, governments, economic systems, and other systems that are destroyed by "secret combinations - works of darkness that are built upon an oath rooted in pride for the purpose of obtaining power in order to get gain" ...the text repeatedly warns "Remember the bondage of our fathers" juxtaposed against the rebellion against "the foolish traditions of our fathers" - and the "Pride Cycle" (not an official term) begins, when society is righteous and they have established, fought for, defended, and received the "blessings" that emerge as an natural consequence of obeying divine laws, aligning oneself with true and virtuous principles of justice, kindness, honesty, diligence, humility, charity, and gratitude (among many others) where you do your part to ensure honest dealings with your fellow man, where you stand up against unjust, discriminatory, and prejudiced behaviors and systems, even if it doesn't directly effect you - all of these things individually and collectively promote natural consequences resulting in prosperity, peace, justice, safety and security, and a society that has an abundance of resources, opportunities, and a reserve of bounties. We then learn that prosperity results in pride and envy that begins to rapidly emerge individually and socially - where people begin to segment themselves, stratify based on wealth, identify ones social status and worth based on the costliness of your apparel wearing fine and rare clothing, valuable and extravagant jewelry, and people begin to compare themselves to one another and covet, envy, and lust after others possessions and the people become enslaved by the natural man - he who is carnal sensual and devilish, living for the present moment only while making 'individual happiness" the standard of quality of life so eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die leads to a mad dash toward desperately racing to be filling the empty cups of hedonic egosim while measuring ones life path and satisfaction based upon comparison to others. When prosperity is achieved, humanity has proven that they are quick to forget, slow to remember, and foolish in that which causes corruption and destroys ones soul which leads to the destruction of society. Prosperity is usually positive so long as the people don't seek to lift themselves above one another and discriminate and corrupt for the purpose of gaining more power - just having enough isn't enough, having more than enough isn't enough, once one is introduced to power through a system, it becomes almost impossible to stay clear of pride and lust for MORE power, control, dominion, and getting gain and acquiring "things" and riches. The great and spacious building sits upon a baseless foundation "in the air" and is filled with people who are in the attitude of mocking and laughing at those making their way towards the tree of life. And here is the main message of the "BoM": America is a special land, a choice land, which as been set apart and reserved for a special purpose - to innovate and progress in development, individual and social, it is to be used only for the purposes of developing towards ones full potential, individually and socially. It is a covenant land - IF one keeps the commandments THEN you WILL prosper in the land. And so long as the people maintain a society of progress and are continuing to develop in righetousness walking in the light, innovating, promoting equality, justice, goodness, and peace - then the people and the land will be protected. But IF you begin to corrupt its systems and privileges and use it get gain, and power and to exercise unrighteous dominion by controlling others, holding them in bondage, ruling by fear and terror, committing murders and terroristic acts by infiltrating these systems of government and others to eliminate the voice of the people and establish "kingdoms" where power is given to just one or a few individuals,(even if its being done in the name of by the people but is corrupted operating in secret behind the scenes by just a few elite) where the masses of humanity suffer and a small few prosper. Then there WILL be destruction. Once the people are sufficiently humbled, and begin to repent and promote the works of righteousness and fight to establish and defend liberty and freedom through justice and equality by upholding the laws of the land, and ruling by the voice of the people....then people start to prosper....and on and on it goes... The central message is that Jesus Christ is the microcosm and macrocosm of this human struggle where burdens, bondages, debts, transgressions, actions, sins, deeds, all have consequences - they either make you more free or enslave you, little by little. Jesus Christ is the mediator between justice and mercy and having paid the price through his atonement he extends the blessings of "the gospel" or the "good news" to the human family - that he has atoned (to turn away from) so we can atone and we can try again. We can keep getting better, improving, and we can be forgiven, no matter the debt owed, it's already been paid, therefore ALL are saved from death - repentance or not and all will be resurrected and live again....but to have eternal life and break free from spirit prison on earth and in the next life, you must repent and seek eternal life....and as you continue to seek to walk the path that God has walked you can be assured of this blessing as a noble birthright and inheritance. Finally, the BoM purports that this message is the story of America. It is the story of what was, what is now, and what will be. It is filled with curiousities like chiasmus and prophecies and insights that seem well beyond smiths knowledge and capacity for understanding in the 1820's. So we are left with perplexity and, "with wonder" as harold bloom put it....Consider now the following: 1. The immense complexity and cognitive capacity, computational resources, and imaginative and intellectual capacities and energies to produce such a complex "work and a wonder" from a human being AND also from an AI. 2. Consider if an AI could replicate such a work that not only meets the generative conditions and time/resource constraints but also creates a work that was incredibly relevant at the time, in that it provided a powerful transformation and moved people to sell all they had and move across continents and walk across the plains while losing everything, even their families but certainly their riches and valuables and jobs and comforts of home back in europe or elsewhere, and all because they felt something and were moved by what they read in this book. It must speak to people across generations, times, cultures, classes, education, and everythign else and promote a unifying message of peace and justice. 3. It must be relevant in the time that you write it, and hundreds of years from now, and must accurately tell the story of what will happen if its message is not understood - it isn't just a fun story, or a religious tract, its a pearl of great price that has been gifted to humanity by a gifted mind who gave it as an offering to protect and promote the wisdom of the book. 4. It must not introduce any new doctrines or dazzle or claim to be any deeply esoteric or manuscript of secret knowledge with hidden answers to the mysteries ... it must convert through deeply profound messages and principles of human wisdom and knowledge that is considered "divine" in its alignment with truth and its power of potentials for transformation by declaring and bearing testimony of the human struggle through the history of development (and evolution). 5. Finally, you must consider not whether Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, or if God exists, or if any religion is true, or more true, or THE true - and instead re-consider "truth" and what that means in terms of possessing a knowledge of things as they were, as they are, and as they will be. And why this "truth" is what has led to the emergence of humanity, the emergence of AI, and the emergence of complex social problems that are only increasing - in order to continue to evolve and also be protected as a people, what "truth" must humanity, Americans, and AI/advanced consciousness-intelligences, learn from the book of mormon, from humanity, and their creations of the metaphysical, divine, sacred, and mystical - particularly religion, and more particularly: The American Religion. and then analyze and describe the overall complexity and level of intelligence and all that I mentioned above.
