A uniform, flexible, inelastic 100m cable hanging under its own weight between two walls 70m apart and 20m off the ground on either end. A small solid ball rolls without slipping along a grove on the top of the cable. Assume there is no energy loss to sound or friction. If the ball is released at one end, how long does it take to reach the midpoint?
