Prompt
I have the following real-world networking setup: I have one **Public Static IP** at my office/location. A **SoftEther VPN Server** is installed on one computer inside my office LAN. This computer also has a **Local Bridge / SoftEther Bridge configuration**. There is another system inside the same office LAN that has a **SoftEther VPN Client** installed. My objective is to access a **MySQL Server on TCP port 3306** located inside the office LAN through the SoftEther VPN connection. Current logical flow: Internet / Remote Laptop тЖУ Public Static IP тЖУ SoftEther VPN Server тЖУ SoftEther Local Bridge тЖУ Office LAN тЖУ MySQL Server :3306 The SoftEther Client connects through the Internet and, after VPN connection, I can access the MySQL Server on port 3306. ### MY REQUIREMENT Currently, the SoftEther Client is configured using my **Public Static IP**. I want to replace the Public IP in the SoftEther Client configuration with the **SoftEther Dynamic DNS hostname**, for example: xxxxx.softether.net I want the hostname to correctly resolve/reach my existing Public Static IP and connect to the same SoftEther VPN Server. I do NOT want to create a new VPN architecture. I want to keep my existing SoftEther Server, Virtual Hub, Local Bridge and MySQL 3306 setup. ### IMPORTANT Do not give me a generic VPN explanation. Analyze the actual SoftEther architecture and determine exactly how: Public Static IP тЖУ SoftEther DDNS hostname (*.softether.net) тЖУ SoftEther VPN Server тЖУ Virtual Hub тЖУ Local Bridge тЖУ Office LAN тЖУ MySQL Server :3306 should work. Explain clearly whether SoftEther's own Dynamic DNS hostname can be used instead of my Public Static IP when the Public IP is already assigned by my ISP. Determine whether SoftEther DDNS automatically maps the hostname to my current Public IP, or whether any additional configuration is required. Also explain the difference between: 1. SoftEther Dynamic DNS hostname 2. ISP-provided Public Static IP 3. Router WAN IP 4. Private LAN IP 5. SoftEther VPN IP 6. DNS resolution 7. Port forwarding ### REQUIRED SOP Prepare a professional Standard Operating Procedure titled: "SoftEther VPN Server тАУ Public IP рд╕реЗ SoftEther DDNS Hostname рдкрд░ Migration / Mapping SOP" The SOP must include: 1. Existing network topology 2. Target network topology 3. IP addressing table 4. SoftEther DDNS hostname configuration 5. How SoftEther DDNS works 6. How to verify the hostname using: nslookup ping Resolve-DnsName 7. How to verify that the hostname resolves to the correct Public IP 8. Router port-forwarding requirements 9. SoftEther VPN Server listener-port requirements 10. SoftEther Server Manager settings 11. Virtual Hub settings 12. Local Bridge settings 13. SoftEther Client settings 14. Exact steps to replace Public IP with hostname 15. MySQL TCP 3306 connectivity verification 16. Windows Firewall requirements 17. Commands for testing: Test-NetConnection tracert route print ipconfig netstat -
