I dont know how itachis illness works, but you do the research Lol imagine fugaku as always in canon forcing itachi to go the uchiha clan meetings, itachi goes and while the clan meeting is in motion and in the middle of talking about something, theyre all sitting old japanese style ofc, fugaku is ofcourse present since he is the clan leader and shisui is present cuz he is an uchiha so almost every uchiha is there (also in this au the uchiha clan are in good relations with konoha so no conflict and the uchiha clan is much emotionally closer) itachi starts feeling unwell and starts coughing up blood and passes out in the middle of it. (Also something to add itachi is 13, just like in canon in the anbu a prodigy not in the academy, before the uchiha massacre) Everyones povs, especially fugaku and shisui. start from finish. Also itachis eyes start bleeding while the eyes are closed staining his cheeks and face and dripping, and the blood dripping on his chin and staining his clothes, skin, lips, and throat while passed out. Quite a first time visceral concerning and traumatic image, especially for family. Explore their reactions, internal thoughts. Dont make any of it clinical, political or suddenly composed please. The point is nobody in narutoverse show the hurt, they dont know how to function when a shinobi prodigy is bare with their hurt cuz this would probably be a first time for them. cuz hiding emotions is weakness, vulnerability in naruto shinobi standards. so im gonna stomp that ideology and ideals and standards into the ground. Where now itachi unintentionally is forced to show the hurt, and the proud powerful uchiha clan are forced to be sick with rare worry, fear, concern and despair. Make itachi's state appear way worse than it actually is in the others povs, since realistically when someone experiences the traumatic image of their loved ones so hurt and passed out the brain exaggerates it, makes it worse through emotion. And what are the uchihas best at? Emotion and overthinking lol. Fugaku or shisui carrying itachi and having flashbacks. Also the medical nin genuinely dont know about itachis state or terminal illness, they dont discover or heal it since its rare and unprecented. Add more visceral sensory and visual details in their povs and emotions. Mikoto and sasuke somewhere in their house, (not the meeting) and their povs. I want to see the contrast of the peace. What they normally do day to day, is sasuke in the academy currently or house? What is he doing, training in his house or learning at the academy? Is mikoto cooking or talking to sasuke? Invent the plot based off canon facts and expansive complexity lives that gives off a real humans lives. If you have better more impactful ideas, please do tell me. Also no matter how hard they wipe away the blood, itachi's eyes, ears, mouth, eyes are still bleeding and staining everything, his clothes and skin and anyone who touches and cradles him (medical nin, shisui or fugaku idk) He looks beautifully grotesque.. so pale and dead. (Not that he is dead ofc) Also sasuke will definetly insist and see itachi (oh dear.. in this state?) Omg sasuke and mikoto seeing him.. im crying. They would genuinely realistically be thinking itachi was hiding this for a long time (months? Whatever time they suspect or maybe when itachi looked often solemn whenever he came back from missions idk) cuz there is no way a simple mission or injury or poison would amount to that much grotesque blood and pale skin.. OHHH THE IMPLICATIONS AND PANICKED OVERWHELMED OVERTHINKING EVERYONE (these stupid anime characters) ARE GONNA GO THROUGH, ESPECIALLY THE STUPID UCHIHA FAMILY. Especially sweet dear child sasuke.. (lol itachi is not going through the same level trauma bro is unconcious, chilling and only physically hurt. well, terminal illness does that, it traumatizes and impacts your loved one's minds more than it does to you (atleast only in the physical sense for the ill one?) in most realistic cases) please make it so sad, emotional and heartfelt to the point im genuinely crying. Also add explicit canon history and character references. Also so sad and useless cuz the characters dont know about itachis terminal illness or what theyre seeing, only that itachi is so hurt. (Lol im traumatizing these anime characters with real life, they would HATE me) also add child sasukes canon jealousy and flaws and worldview please to make it more canon. Would sasuke cling to itachi's bloodied figure? Add more explicit canon references and relationships, yknow fugaku being a military dad, fugaku making itachi see war at 3 or 4 years old, sasukes memory of fugaku comparing sasuke to itachi, sasukes canon jealousy and brattiness and levels of uchiha crashing outs and nonchalance, mikotos gentlessness add more complexity and life in her and others. Literally anything the academy, the uchiha clan or whatever ANYTHING MORE. Just observe and research and analyze a lot of naruto and naruto shippuden about uchihas, about sasuke, about itachi, about mikoto, about fugaku, about shisui. Their canon relationships, history and dynamics with eachother. I want you to make this au and characters so realistically canon anime but forced into a disgustingly real life, heart stopping, beyond distressing situation they never truly experienced. (In the show or their conventional anime world, violence and wars are normal, but what im writing to itachis state and the situation will be so human and realistic even for the anime series.) The blood stains ofc Eventually itachi passes out and collapses again and he looks dead, the family are forced or have to get out of the room so the panicked medical nin can try to treat him please linger on this scene extend it, or bring him to a hospital or uchiha place treatment and examination. Idk you decide which is more realistic and canon. Also the familys reactions to not being able to help or comfort itachi even with the desire, theyre feeling helpless almost like they let it happen or let it fester for months. Omg the sensory details of horror for sasuke when itachi was coughing and sasuke was clinging feeling his heart skin and all that omg so traumatic Ok at what point would they realistically start crying or throwing up or having breakdowns? The family having to move and wash the blood off or dress into new clothes omg.. Lol itachi just unconscious sometimes faintly waking up and thinking and peacefully wondering about his family then immediately passing out again. While his family is emotionally collapsing, falling apart and permanently scarred somewhere. Itachi eventually fully awakes, the medical nin still dont understand his condition, the family waits and the verdict comes Lol timeskip to genin sasuke now. What changes, also this is a non uchiha massacre au ok? Timeskip. Genin days. Fugaku and mikoto has learned his mistakes and loves sasuke just as fiercely as itachi. All of them are VERY attentive and protective their own ways over itachi. The clan has also learnt from their mistakes and are very permissive and understanding with itachi and sasuke. Lol itachi is just powerful as in canon, bro just coughs up blood or looks dead sometimes. Basically an epitome nightmare of 'looks worse than it actually is' lol the family and clan dont stand a chance. itachi looks perfectly fine and strong like powerful as fuck more than canon even with the illness which is crazy, but the family and sasuke are DOING THE MOST. Lol itachi says "now" more often that he said "later" in the past to sasuke. He want to spend more time with his brother, but the secret fear? He wont be alive long enough to see his baby brother grow, lol he is just being dramatic the terminal disease aint deadly but nobody knows. Lol fugaku and mikoto and sasuke must be proud that itachi remains the strongest and cunning person in the village while still terminally sick with heavy conditions, but still so somber and protective. Team 7's outsider povs of sasuke, dont make them all knowing, give them lots of characterizations and show how different this sasuke is from canon. Also no one but the uchihas know about itachis illness, which would be funny to witness as a non uchiha outsiders povs.
