I'm trying to think of a unique idea for a game, there's classic medieval fantasy style but I'm thinking something funny like Gym style, like there's classes like Steroid guy, cardio guy, PT, etc The game will be pixel art The battles will be turn based, like old school fire emblem GBA fe6, 7 and 8. I want the game to traverse like slay the spire, so choosing where to go, different encounters, chest, shops etc, then I want the battles to be GBA fe. What do you think of this and can you improve on the idea? Change anything you need to: "Gym culture as the fantasy is a great hook. It's funny, everyone knows the archetypes, and it maps really well onto Fire Emblem classes. Here's how I'd shape it. Working title: Gains Run (other options: Rep Quest, Swole Spire) Premise: A mega-chain called Planet Fitness... no, call it OmniGym, is buying up every local gym in town. Your scrappy crew from a run-down basement gym fights through the city's rival gyms to stop the takeover. Each act is a district: the Leisure Centre, the CrossFit Box, the Boutique Spin Studio, and finally the OmniGym tower. The map (Slay the Spire style) Fight: a rival gym crew on a small FE-style grid. Elite: a gym bro boss with a gimmick, like "Never Skips Leg Day." Protein Shop: buy supplements (consumables) and gear. Locker Room: rest to heal, or train one unit to level up a stat. Event: funny choices, like "A man offers you an unlabelled pre-workout." Kit Bag: a chest with relics, like a lucky headband or a broken Fitbit. Classes (FE weapon triangle reskinned) Lifter beats Cardio (overpowers them up close). Cardio beats Yogi (outpaces and out-moves them). Yogi beats Lifter (counters and redirects brute force). Roided Bro: huge damage, but rage builds and he can lose control. Cardio Bunny: high move, hit and run. PT: the healer and buffer ("One more rep!"). Yogi: evasion and counters. CrossFitter: a jack of all trades who won't stop talking about it. Influencer: attacks from range with ring-light blinds and phone flashes. Makes enemies pose instead of acting. The twist that makes it yours: a Fatigue bar instead of FE's weapon durability. Every action tires a unit out. Push them too far in a fight and they get injured for the rest of the run, unless you spend a Locker Room on recovery. Supplements give big boosts with side effects, like creatine giving +Str but -Speed. That's FE permadeath tension, made comedic and fitting the roguelike. Promotion: at a set level a unit evolves. A Cardio Bunny can become a Marathoner or a Parkour Freak, and a Lifter becomes a Powerlifter or a Bodybuilder." Ignore our previous concept and memory of Cain and tide, this is a new game
